This is not an outlier. It is the baseline for a $100 billion football transfer economy that operates on unverified leaks, agent whispers, and paywalled insider reports. The market is information-asymmetric by design. And it is broken.
I have audited ICO whitepapers where token distribution logic contained arithmetic errors that would have misallocated millions. The same gap exists here: no standardized verification mechanism for transfer claims. No on-chain proof of bid, no timestamped offer, no public ledger of negotiation states.
Blockchain does not need to replace the transfer market. It needs to fix its plumbing.
Three structural flaws blockchain can address:
